Upper Skagit Bald Eagle Festival - Concrete, Upper Skagit River
Did you know that hundreds of blad eagles come to the Skagit River during the winter months each year? Many eagles come upriver in search of salmon and can be seen in the trees and along the river banks of the Skagit from November through February. The number of eagles usually peak in late December. The annual Bald Eagle Festival celebrates the eagles in late January. This family friendly festival has activities for all ages.

Skagit County Tulip Festival - Mt. Vernon, La Conner, Burlington
April 1-30th - The tulip festival is a month long festival that celebrates the blooming tulips and the Skagit Valley bulb growers. It attracts many visitors who come to see the colorful walk-in fields that bloom out sometime in April. The festival also includes many other attractions for tourists to visit including local farms, nurseries and wineries, art shows, a street fair, a parade, salmon BBQ, and a quilt show. In addition to tulips, the local valley farms grow iris and daffodils.

Anacortes Waterfront Festival - Anacortes
The maritime community of Anacortes celebrates everything marine at the annual Waterfront Festival. Something for everyone during the weekend of activities including a Kick-off dinner, boat rides, boat show, radio controlled boats, boat building for kids, Marine Swap Meet, water safety and educational displays, arts and crafts, entertainment, food and more.

Burlington Berry Dairy Days - Burlington
Burlington celebrates its berry and dairy industries each year in June with a family fun weekend to start the summer season. Visitors will enjoy a tractor parade and fireworks to start off the festival on Friday evening. A grand parade follows the annual Berry Dairy Days Fun Run on Saturday morning. Strawberry shortcake and a salmon BBQ are highlights at the Festival at the Park in Maiben Park after the parade. On Sunday, enjoy a Berry Cool Car Show on Fairhaven Ave. in downtown Burlington.

Loggerodeo - Sedro-Woolley
Lots of old-fashioned fun for all, this week long festival is the oldest 4th of July celebrations in the state of Washington. Summer is a good time to enjoy Sedro-Woolley and take in some of the many festival activities including two parades, a rodeo, chainsaw carving, logging exhibitions, a kiddies, the great Sedro-Woolley footrace, a carnival, live music and more.

Samish Bay Bivalve Bash - Bow
This annual event takes place at the Taylor Shellfish Farm on Samish Bay. The Bivalve Bash includes food, music and many oyster and shellfish activities. For those who don't mind getting a "little dirty", there is a low tide mud run on the tideflats.

Skagit Valley Highland Games - Mt. Vernon
You can see everything Scottish here at this festival. Come and watch Scottish dancing, Scottish athletic events, piping competions, Celtic Harpers, and the Sheepdog Trials where sheepdogs compete for cash prizes.

Skagit County Fair - Mount Vernon
Lots of entertainment at the Skagit County Fair with carnival rides, live music, exhibits, rodeo and a parade in downtown Mt. Vernon. Kids will enjoy the animals and the rides. Always plenty of food and fun for the family.

The Skagit River Shakespeare Festival
Come to the Shakespeare Festival and enjoy outdoor performances in August at Edgewater Park in Mt. Vernon. The 7th annual festival will take place in 2008 and is produced by Shakespheare NorthWest.

Festival of Farms - Skagit Valley Farms
Skagit Valley is home to a variety of farms. During the first weekend of October several of them open up their doors to the public for a great opportunity to see and learn about the world of farming. Take a weekend drive around the valley and plan to spend the day visiting some of the many farms. Kids activities, food, exhibits and lots of animals to see. Farms include vegetable, dairy, livestock, organic, vineyard and shellfish.

Burlington Harvest Festival - Burlington
The Harvest Festival features many old-fashioned family fun activities for kids young and old. The festival offers the Pumpkin Pitch Catapulting Contest for those individuals and groups with a competitive streak. Teams in this event get to build a catapult of their own design and have fun launching pumpkins for distance.
